You are in the hearth of Massa Marittima, just few steps from St.Augustine’s church  and its cloister(XIII century) and few minutes walk from St.Cerbone’s cathedral, an outstanding example of Romanesque.

We are a step away  from the golf clubs the Pelagone in Gavorrano(km.15) and Punta Ala (km.35).

Sea-faring is made easy too, by the new tourist port  Etrusca Marina at Puntone di Scarlino.

At only few kilometres away can be reached “La Strada del Vino Monteregio” that crosses the region of the “Colline Metallifere” in the northern Maremma.

Along this wine’s road, tourists can visit vineyards and wine cellars, taste and buy wines, olive oil and other typical tuscan products.

About nature, in Massa Marittima it is famous “Carapax” that is an European center for the safeguard of Turtles and storks.

Massa Marittima offers in august “La Lirica in Piazza” realized in the suggestive old square.

Other excursions are recommended such as : San Galgano (km.37) a building made up  the Hermitage also called Montesiepi’s Round (XI century) and the ruins of the big st.Galgano’s Cistercian abbey, Volterra (Km.65) a medieval town famous for the alabaster, Siena (Km. 70) or why not ? sandy beaches such as :Follonica, Punta ala or Riva verde.

Interesting archeological sites are in Vetulonia (km.29), Baratti (km.40) and Roselle(Km.42).
