The Carapax centre consists of a European association for the protection of all species of turtles. The centre in Tuscany is located in Massa Marittima. The center Tuscan addition to accommodate thousands of turtles, receives a large number of storks. The center aims to give hospitality to turtles that can no longer be rinserite in their natural abitat, or save those in danger of life because wounds. The centre, which has a territorial extension of 15 hectares, is divided into areas that recreate the environmental conditions of all kinds of turtles; currently in the center are about 8,000 copies. The path to follow is an easy path along the various areas where turtles are wild. In the Mediterranean area are land turtles, while at the exotic you can admire the enormous turtles of the Sahel, the red-legged from Amazon and those azzannatici.
